As expected, Microsoft has released the newest budget Windows 10 smartphone available in our local market — the Lumia 550.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD and a modest Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor. A usual among Windows smartphones, RAM is pretty low at 1GB but should be adequate for the most task.

Windows 10 Mobile is on life support. There’s probably no compelling reason to buy a Windows Phone right now. The lack of apps is the biggest drawback for the OS. Grabe naman Instagram beta pa rin, last update September 2015 pa, with no way to post videos. Parehong apps and games kumpara sa Android at iOS, either outdated or limited features. Sayang lang pera ng Microsoft ng binili niya yung Nokia, hindi naging competitive.
Although running smooth sa 1gb ram ang windows phones for years, their fans still deserve a few upgrades katulad ng ram and greater camera quality sa low-end models katulad ng android devices. A little improvement means more consumers to love their products.
anu naman pinagkaiba nyan sa 535?
I want to try a windows 10 phone..
I’m using L435 and I upgraded it to Windows 10 Preview version the other day. It’s working good for me. At this very moment, gumagawa ako ng comparison table ng different Lumia brand phones na bibilhin ko on my next purchase. Nagkataon na nakita ko tong post ng Yugatech. Definitely this L550 will be in my shortlist. Ok na sana tong L435 ko. Downside lang nito is the camera.
Wait for lumia 650, instead
i’m planning to upgrade from my 5-month old lumia 630 (bought it for 3k months ago) i’m not a heavy user. most of the apps i use are outlook, calendar, here maps, ie, music and lumia camera. i’m having doubts that lumia 630 will have an update to windows 10 and if it’s possible then 512 RAM might not be able to handle it. should i buy lumia 550?
the 630 should be upgradeable to windows 10. as to when that update will come is an entirely different question.
