One of the things that the Lumia lineup is known for is its vibrant color variants. Today though, Microsoft has announced that both the Lumia 930 and the Lumia 830 will soon be available in “anodized gold”.
Do note though that the gold color will only serve as lining as opposed to being the main color for both of the aforementioned handsets. Another thing to note is that only the Black and White variants of the Lumia 930 and Lumia 830 will get the Anodized Gold flavor, the other variants will still have the white trim.
Surprisingly, despite the company’s efforts to distant itself from Nokia, Microsoft still retained the “Nokia” branding on the special edition Lumia 930 and 830.
Now as far as specs go, the original configuration of both handsets will remain unchanged. The only question now is will the software giant bill consumers a little extra for the Gold variant, and for how much? Well, Microsoft is mum about it as we speak, but will soon find that out as it’s been said that the Gold Lumia 930 (Black) will be available starting this week in select countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and China, and India, the Middle East and Africa.
The Lumia 830 Gold, on the other hand, is expected to hit the shelves next month, that goes for the Black and White variants. Meanwhile, the White Lumia 930 with Gold trim will be available in the latter part of January.
