Motorola has lift the veil on the new Moto X Play that sports a 21-megapixel camera. This puts the flagship Moto X line into several directions, along with the Moto X Style.
Motorola continues the tradition of giving a wide range of customization to users with the ability to choose from 14 different colors on the back and 7 accent colors. That’s 98 different color combinations.
For other countries where Moto Maker is not available, there’s only the black and white color options (the ones likely to be released in the Philipines).

bat nagkalat 1+2=3 fanboys dito sa moto x article?
wired_boy says:
me want the one plus two and i already signed up :3
abcde says:
adreno 405?
330 is better than 405 as Adreno 330 has 128 ALU and Adreno 405 has 48 ALU
glenn says:
I rather buy oneplus2 than this. The camera is only the advantage.
SvenPlays says:
about the price, moto X style/pure actually starts at $399 and additional cost in each upgrade of storage and customisation through motomaker. So $399 probably for 16GB version, which makes Oneplus 2 64GB wins the internal storage department.
SvenPlays says:
well pixel count doesn’t mean better quality most of the time, Oneplus 2 has OIS and laser autofocus so it might be better in low light condition. Moto X wins the front facing camera obviously though having a flash and wide angle lens.
how about a little spec battle shall we?
Oneplus 2 over Moto X:
*PRICE, $389 over $399. not that huge :))
*4GB DDR4 Ram vs 3GB DDR3.
*Camera features such as OIS and Laser auto focus.
*Dual Sim
*Fingerprint Scanner
*Capacitive Keys, might not a big issue but it still a big plus for most users.
*Gorilla Glass 4 vs. Gorilla Glass 3
*3300mah vs. 3000mah Battery
Moto X Style over Oneplus 2:
*Dual front facing speakers
*Fast charging.
*NFC
*Water repellant nano-coating (IP52 certified)
*Better Resolution (520ppi vs. 401ppi)
*Expandable Storage
*21mp vs 13mp Camera, might have a better dual tone flash [Dual Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) flash] or might just a gimmick.
I still think oneplus 2 got better design but it’s self explanatory. Plus availability might be a factor too.
note: this isn’t about Moto X play but the Moto X style which is a better comparison with Oneplus 2.

Where’s the 5.2-inch/1080p/S808/2G ram/3000mAh version, Moto?
Damnit!
archie says:
Carlo Ople says:
Well, the 5.5 inch screen is fine. But it’s the S615 that’s putting me off. Any ideas on how it compares with S800 series CPU’s?
Also, that battery!
archie says:
They skipped on it dahil manipis naman ang bezels ng play. 76.85% ang screen to body ratio kaya mas maliit pa sa iphone 6 plus.
Easy E says:
How much kaya yung X style?
lol says:
Kinda disappointing that they ditched amoled and went with 5.5 and 5.7 inches. Oh well, moto x 2nd gen parin, dadating kaya yung 32gb version nun dito?
PointBreak says:
nice to know the motorola brand lives on! what a great battery capacity and expandable external storage! witwiw!
now the main questions is @AbeOlandres will this be available in the PH this year or the next few years? LOL.
Osman says:
nice phone but hate the Android 6.0 update
archie says:
Sana nga ay true to their word ang motorola philippine distributor. Wag nilang gagayahin ang xiaomi na puro paasa tapos 1 year bago dumating. Malabo daw marelease ang style sa asia, play at g ang sigurado kaya ok na din ang play kesa sa one plus 2 na invite system ulit.
Abe Olandres says:
Moto PH promised they will bring in new units the same time as most other countries. So expect this to be released in the country in a month.
