We already heard about the possible rebirth of a mobile phone legend anytime soon. But, of course, it’ll not be exactly the same as HMD Global will make the new Nokia 3310 a modern feature phone.
Popular leakster, Evan Blass, has some additional deets about the redesigned Nokia 3310. According to his sources, it will run on Series 30+ — a feature phone OS that runs on recent Nokia-branded phones.
Few more Nokia 3310 deets:
-runs Series 30+ w color scrn
-multiple colors, faceplates poss. swappable
– think: mashup of old 3310 & new 150.— Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 24, 2017
Also, possible multiple color faceplate will be available for purchase just like the old times. Remember when you can have a blue phone today and then red tomorrow? Lastly, the design of the new Nokia 3310 will be a mashup of its old design and the latest Nokia 150 feature phone.
It’s fun to think what HMD Global has in stored for us under the Nokia brand. We’re looking forward to seeing their take on reviving the legendary phone. We hope it won’t disappoint after all the hype.
