HMD Global promised to release major OS updates to its Nokia phone as fast as possible and in line with that, they have just made a new Nougat update to the Chinese variant of Nokia 6.
Just as before it gets a global release in Q2 2017, the Nokia 6 gets the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update ahead of other flagship handsets of other manufacturers. Although, since the Nokia 6 is exclusively available in China, for now, this still won’t put Google Play Store and other services.
If you own a Nokia 6, probably directly from China or parallel importers in the country, you’d need at 616MB of free space for the 369MB update download.
According to the official changelog, the update enhanced power saving and background management, and adds support for 4G/3G dual-SIM dual-standby. The update is also included for the Nokia USB driver and preloaded applications. Lastly, it’s got the latest April security patch.
