HMD has partnered with iFixit to launch a unique Nokia smartphone that is focused on repairability with the new Nokia G22.
Similarly to their recently released C22 and C32, they say that the Nokia G22 can deliver up to three days of battery life and is capable of 800 full charging cycles. It’s also said to feature a 100% recycled plastic back cover.
Furthermore, it also has OZO playback to help balance headphone output for a better audio experience. They also claim to give it 3 years of warranty and monthly security updates plus 2 years of Android upgrades.
But what makes the Nokia G22 unique is what they call “QuickFix repairability“. This means that users can easily repair parts of the phone such as the display, cover, charging port, and battery.
Nokia has also partnered with iFixit for manuals, tools, and genuine spare parts for users to make repairs in the comfort of their home.
HMD says that a battery replacement would take just around 5 minutes and its screen only 20 minutes using simple tools such as a SIM ejector tool, a screwdriver, and an opening pick.
