The Chinese new-player OnePlus is a starting smartphone company that already got the attention of many consumers with its One. It is touted to be the flagship killer because of its affordable price tag and impressive specs that claim to battle the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S5. Just how close is the battle on paper? We pitted both devices side-by-side for a specs comparison.
As you can see, the two devices share the same Snapdragon 801 processor while the rest of their specs are somewhat in the same range of each other. The biggest difference between the two is the price — with the Galaxy S5 almost three times the price of the One.
We’ve seen the similarities and differences of both devices in terms of specs and we’ve also taken note of their respective price points. The question now is this: Would you take a risk and buy a OnePlus One (if ever it gets here) over a Samsung Galaxy S5 considering the former is just a budding company? Or does it even matter? More importantly, is this the time where Chinese products should no longer be considered only as lower classes?
Tangina!
Will still go for a Samsung phone which I can get from a data plan from either smart or globe. What I like about branded phones:
Support/upgrade
Sure sa quality
May warranty
My Note 2 will be turning 2 years now and so far, I still see using this phone near term lalu na magkakaKitKat na kami. :)
flagship phone nila yan for sure matibay at maganda yan sino namang company ang gustung masira agad ang pangalan diba..Samsung and iphone para na ding isinampal sa inyo ng oneplus yang mga over price flagship phone nyo hehe….joke..
Basta may kevlar back, oks na me.
Option daw yun as one of the replaceable covers, kaya ayos lang
wag na kasi maingay ang mga haters. palibhasa nagsayang kayo ng pera niyo sa mga overpriced na branded units. ayan me isang company na willing makipag kumpetensya sa kanila with that kind of monster specs with very affordable price range. they will eat dust once it lands here in the Philippines can’t wait hehehe!
just waiting for OPPO 7/7a the 7a seems good sa demo i saw, although 3rd week pa release sa pinas. I heard 22K ata sa 7a correct im wrong, 13mp, 801 snapdragon parang maganda din ang zooming sa cam less noise, pero 4.3 out of the box.
@ewan FYI lang naman. . CHINA is the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world, kung makapagsabi naman ng “and its made in china” wagas lang,.kala mo kung sinong magaling,epaletss..LOL
china made, isipisip din ibig sabihin niyan is china brand… mambubutata agad eh pinoy talaga.
china fones lacks the quality, support, software uograde quality assurance kaya mura. sige bili kayo, binebenta ko tong thl t100 ko ala kwenta nagloloko, kailangan pa iroot flash rom etc. eh pano nalang bibili pag nontechie..
gasgas agad, parang plastic. etc. try niyo nalang saka niyo compare sa top leading brand that are made in china but has a brandname qualty like samsung sony lg etc..
pre.. im using huawei ascend p6. chinese brand. 1 year na ok parin wlang problema. im using pipo max m1 tab. mg two two years na ok na ok pa.. huawei and oppo even one+ magaganda quality ng phones nila.. sa totoo lang pre ang binbayaran mo sa ibang phone ay brand lang not the phone. example phone = 14000 pesos brand = 20000 = 34000 samsung s5. ahahha one+ phone+brand = 14000. ahahaha.. ang mahal ng brand. awtz!!
Nice to hear that bro, i was really amazed of the specs and the build quality of some china brands..
Hope you can compare your 1 yearold huwawei..
Gawin natin magkaiba pagsinabing china brand vs china made
Ok?
For now mahirap pang makabili ng oneplus1. I to any sulit phone. If you have a chance na makabili into, wag na kayong magpatumpik-tumpik pa.
But we’re not sure about the quality of one plus.. and its made in china.. better stick with samsung for my opinion :)
“But we’re not sure about the quality of one plus.. and its made in china.. better stick with samsung for my opinion :)”
This comment.. nakakacancer lang..
bobo yta yan ee samsung made in china din nagbobobobobohan yan haha ! nakaka inis ung comment haha
Pre, wag isip-hangal, product research naman pag may time. HTC level gawa niyan brad. Ewan ka nga talaga lol
Just like the Nexus line – taxes will make the SRP go higher. I think the price in HK is actually already higher than the US price which is 13k vs 17k.
if the price stays below 15k then yes…if not there are other options to consider…the note 3 is just 24k (grey market) lg g2 at 20k
I’ll wait for the Tegra4 smartphone.
Why not? I will buy OnePlus because it is high end phone with a low price. C’mon OnePlus come to Philippines.
