The Chinese new-player OnePlus is a starting smartphone company that already got the attention of many consumers with its One. It is touted to be the flagship killer because of its affordable price tag and impressive specs that claim to battle the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S5. Just how close is the battle on paper? We pitted both devices side-by-side for a specs comparison.
As you can see, the two devices share the same Snapdragon 801 processor while the rest of their specs are somewhat in the same range of each other. The biggest difference between the two is the price — with the Galaxy S5 almost three times the price of the One.
We’ve seen the similarities and differences of both devices in terms of specs and we’ve also taken note of their respective price points. The question now is this: Would you take a risk and buy a OnePlus One (if ever it gets here) over a Samsung Galaxy S5 considering the former is just a budding company? Or does it even matter? More importantly, is this the time where Chinese products should no longer be considered only as lower classes?

Will still go for a Samsung phone which I can get from a data plan from either smart or globe. What I like about branded phones:
Support/upgrade
Sure sa quality
May warranty
My Note 2 will be turning 2 years now and so far, I still see using this phone near term lalu na magkakaKitKat na kami. :)

archie says:
HaruShi says:

Just like the Nexus line – taxes will make the SRP go higher. I think the price in HK is actually already higher than the US price which is 13k vs 17k.
bliss says:
if the price stays below 15k then yes…if not there are other options to consider…the note 3 is just 24k (grey market) lg g2 at 20k
