We’ve seen from several online groups and sources that OPPO will be bringing a new device called the A83.
First launched in China last December, the A83 follows the trend of the recently-launched F-series of smartphones the company has launched last year with 18:9 aspect ratio displays, smart selfie cameras, and an updated ColorOS over Android Nougat right out of the box. It’s also unique in the company’s full-display lineup as it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner.

An OPPO salesman has pegged the device to land with a price between Php8,990 to Php10,990 in the Philippines this month. No word on when it will launch locally, but we’re leaning on the idea that it will be this month given that salesmen already have ideas on the pricing. We’ll keep tabs on more information regarding this.
