OPPO is also joining the brands that will launch a new device this summer called the F7, and the smartphone sports a very familiar design as it touts to have the same notch found on most devices we’ve seen this year so far.
The company’s Indian twitter page has posted a teaser with the device, asking its followers to guess the local ambassador that holds it.
Selfie game is still strong with the F7 as multiple reports detail of the device’s specifications once it arrives — there’s a 25-megapixel front camera with upgraded AI technology to provide an enhanced beauty mode, improved HDR capabilities, in-camera stickers built with augmented reality (AR), a 6.2-inch display fit in a chassis that touts an almost 90% screen-to-body ratio, according to The Economic Times’ sources.
A notch design in smartphones has not been new but has been prevalent in most devices we’ve covered since last year from the iPhone X, the ASUS Zenfone 5, and even the upcoming Vivo V9. It’s likely that OPPO will unveil the smartphone in India by the end of the month and will roll out in other key countries after, according to the source.
