OPPO is set to launch its more affordable F7 Youth smartphone to complete the series heralded by the F7 and its 128GB variant this Wednesday, and we have obtained information about the specifications and pricing about the device.
The F7 Youth will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display so it won’t have that notch. It has the same internal storage and memory as the F7 and is still powered by a MediaTek chip although we can’t determine what model. A noticeable thing is the absence of a fingerprint scanner. A 13-megapixel camera sits at the rear, while an eight-megapixel camera with the company’s AI Selfie tech is at the front. One OPPO promoter we talked to said that it’s “like the A83, but better” due to similarities in hardware, which made us think that this may actually be China’s OPPO A1 in an F7 shell.

According to several OPPO promoters and sources we’ve talked to, the F7 Youth will be available in the Philippines first in a diamond black variant for Php13,990. The May 28 arrival isn’t really a launch, but rather a start of a pre-order period where people can expect freebies in tow while waiting for their units by mid-June.
