PayMaya now has a new PayMaya Protect service that offers insurance for smartphones to cover cracked screens or accidental and liquid breakage.
PayMaya Protect is provided by boltech, the official Mobile Protection provider of PayMaya and offers device protection when accidents happen to your mobile devices. The services include repair against cracked screen and accidental and liquid damage.
For Cracked Screen subscription, your smartphone is protected should its screen be broken or shattered. When you avail of this plan, you are guaranteed for a Mobile Phone Screen protection only. Below are the inclusions:
• Protection: Screen only
• Repair limit: 2 repairs within 12 months
• Service fees
• Repair speed: 24 hours
• Free pick up and delivery
For Accidental and Liquid Damage subscription, your smartphone is covered from liquid damage and any unintentional breakages such as accidental dropping. This subscription ensures you a protection coverage for your entire mobile phone. This also includes phone replacement should the smartphone be irreparable. Below are the inclusions:
• Protection: Entire phone
• Repair limit: Either 2 repairs or 1 repair + 1 replacement within 12 months
• Phone replacement: Yes
• Services fees
• Repair speed: 24 hours
• Free pick up and delivery
To avail of the service, follow these steps.
• Tap “Protect” icon on PayMaya home screen which is managed by bolttech.
• Tap “Mobile Protect” and choose which mobile protection plan you’d like for your smartphone. The plan prices vary based on the device purchase price.
• Provide your personal and smartphone details.
• Proceed to pay using your PayMaya account.
Do note that an in-app Diagnostic Test is required for smartphones beyond 14 days from the purchase date but not older than 18 months old. The plans are also unavailable for devices more than 18 months old.
PayMaya will also soon offer Health Protect plans. Details are not available as of writing.
