Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile processor launched, to come in the Redmi Note 13 Pro

Qualcomm has just announced its newest mid-range processor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 .

The processor is said to be closer to the previous Snapdragon 7 Gen 1  than the recently launched Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor 26 but is said to be less capable in some ways to its predecessor.

It features a Qualcomm Kryo CPU built on a 4nm architecture with four high-performance cores with max speeds of up to 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.95GHz.

The chip itself has support for FHD+ 144Hz displays with its Adreno GPU and up support for LPDDR5 RAM at 3200MHz, USB-C 3.1,

It also has support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology that can charge phones as quickly from 0 to 50% in just five minutes.

The processor also allows phones to capture with Qualcomm Spectra 12-bit ISP for triple concurrent captures and 4K @ 30FPS HDR videos with enhanced nighttime shots with Qualcomm Low Light with Qualcomm AI Engine.

Other features include its Qualcomm AI Engine and Qualcomm Sensing Hub for faster QR code scans and face unlocks.

It also has a Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System for download speeds up to 2.9Gbps with mmWave and its Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 Mobile Connectivity System allows for fast Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

For gamers, it has Snapdragon Elite Gaming with Variable Rate Shading, Qualcomm Game Quick Touch for reduced touch latency, and Qalcomm Game Color Plus for more vibrant visuals.

The chipset is also set to debut soon on the Redmi Note 13 Pro 163 coming on September 21, 2023.
