• Higher resolution for the rear main camera
• Telephoto camera
• Secondary front camera
• 30W charging
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S:

Display
Looking at their displays, both have IPS panels with the same Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. The Redmi Note 9S has a 6.67-inch screen, while the Realme 6 Pro has a 6.6-inch. The 0.01-inch difference is negligible. However, the latter has a 90Hz refresh rate for some smooth animations, while the former has HDR10 support, which can provide you with a pleasant viewing experience when watching HDR content.
Camera
Both devices sport quad-rear cameras, although the Realme 6 Pro has a higher main camera resolution and a telephoto camera, which the Redmi Note 9S doesn’t have. However, the latter has a higher resolution macro camera and a dedicated camera for depth-sensing.
For selfies, the Realme 6 Pro has the advantage of having two cameras with the secondary being an ultra-wide lens. Both have the same 16MP resolution for their primary cameras.
Processor and Memory
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor powers both devices, meaning we can expect the same level of chipset performance. The two, however, vary in RAM with the Realme 6 Pro offering 6GB and 8GB, while the Redmi Note 9S is 4GB and 6GB. Both are available in 64GB and 128GB UFS 2.1 and dedicated microSD card slots for expansion.
Battery
The Redmi Note 9S wins in terms of capacity at 720mAh more than the Realme 6 Pro. However, the latter has a faster 30W charging compared to the former’s 18W.
Other features
The two devices have the basic connectivity features available, like 4G LTE, Bluetooth, SatNavs, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jacks. However, the Redmi Note 9S has an IR Blaster, which is handy controlling IR-based appliances like TVs.
Which one to get?
Looking at the summary, the Realme 6 Pro seems to have the most advantages. The 90Hz display, 8GB RAM option, and six cameras are significant factors to consider.
For the Redmi Note 9S, it still has a nice set of cameras, a good display, and a big battery. Although it has a lower RAM configuration, it allows Xiaomi to offer it at a more affordable price. That’s PHP 10,490 for the 4GB + 64GB and PHP 11,990 for the 6GB + 128GB.
Realme is yet to reveal the price of the Realme 6 Pro in the Philippines, so we’ll find out soon if it can compete with the Redmi Note 9S in terms of pricing. Stay tuned on May 27.

If Realme prices theirs higher, they will have a tough time selling this, even if it has a better refresh rate (will up your battery).
