Realme plans to bring its 5G smartphone in the Philippines

With 5G smartphones starting to launch in the Philippines, Realme also expressed its plans to bring its own 5G-powered smartphone in the country.

Realme PH’s Marketing Lead, Eason de Guzman Jr., told YugaTech that Realme has every intention of bringing a competitively-priced 5G smartphone in the Philippines.

“We are in close communication with local telcos in the Philippines, to get the certification of our devices meets the local 5G specifications. Even though realme is fairly a new player in 5G smartphones, we’re determined to make it more available to more Filipinos in the near future.”

Realme currently has the Realme X50 5G which launched in China last month. It sports a 6.57-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, quad-rear cameras, and dual-front hole-punch cameras.

We’ll update you once we have more information about its local release.

This should be a good news to all of us consumers. But then again, why bother with the 5G connection when even the 4G can’t break past the shackles of puny bandwidth supplied by our local monopolies here in the Philippines?
