We’ve received word that local tech brand, Redfox, is launching their own smartphone called Aurea and it’s pretty impressive based on the specifications we got.
Our trusted source revealed that the upcoming Redfox Aurea smartphone will be powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset. Memory-wise, it’s going to have 3GB RAM and a pretty spacious 32GB of internal storage. Since it’s a 2016 device, Redfox will opt for a USB Type-C port over the usual micro-USB port used by other brands. Also, there will be a fingerprint scanner on board and LTE radio.
Redfox Aurea preliminary specifications:
5.5-inch HD bezel-less scratch-resistant display
1.7GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor
Adreno 405
3GB RAM
32GB internal storage
13-megapixel rear camera
5-megapixel front camera
4G LTE
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
USB Type-C
Fingerprint sensor
2500mAh battery w/ fast charging
That’s what we’ve got so far. There’s no information regarding the screen size, battery capacity, and pricing yet. We’re able to gather more details about the upcoming Redfox Aurea, so we’ve updated the article. As of now, what’s just missing is the price and release date.
USB Type C is not a plus, at least not yet…

The battery should have been at least 3,000 mAH.
And I don’t think RedFox is a local tech brand.
it is a local marketing brand as far as I know
If priced at php6500 or less, this might be a win.
there is flare x at around that same price point but has a lot more features
