Redmi has just announced its all-new 300W fast-charging technology, which they claim can charge a phone from 0-100% in just under five minutes.
The company showcased the 300W technology on its official Weibo account. On its account, the company posted a video showcasing the fast charging speed with what seems to be a Redmi Note 12.
It seems like companies are in a race to offer the fastest charging speed for smartphones today. Just last week we reported on realme showing off a 240W charging solution that can allegedly completely charge a phone in 10 minutes.
While these 10-minute and 5-minute charging speeds do sound good on paper, we are curious how such speeds will affect thermals and battery health.
