Another report from famous tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has surfaced saying that Motorola will be launching a new phone that goes back to its roots — the beloved Moto X, that is. It will be called the Moto X4 and should carry dual rear cameras and an IP68-certified aluminum body.
Blass cleared out on his post that it won’t be called the Moto X 2017 but rather, simply Moto X4. The upcoming smartphone from the Lenovo-0wned company will reportedly feature dual rear cameras built into a solid aluminum body. Inside, it is expected to run on Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and 3000mAh battery.

Let’s stop calling it “Moto X 2017,” eh? pic.twitter.com/dBnUr5n7CU

Additionally, the Moto X4 will feature a tandem of 12- and 8-megapixel rear shooters and another 16MP camera up front. All these are protected from water and dust thanks to its IP68 certification. Meanwhile, rounding up the features is a fingerprint scanner just below the display.
As for the launch, it should make its official debut towards the end of the year (Q4). Stay tuned as we get more details for this Moto X-inspired device.
