Melvin says:
6gb + 128gb at that price?
hmmm says:
A50.. ?
anti-eejit says:
Samsung Galaxy A30’s Exynos 7904 chipset is comparable to a Snapdragon 636 chipset although the Snapdragon one has better specs on paper in terms of core performance. Real life performance difference between the two chipsets is expected to be negligible though.
A30 on the average is Php 3K more expensive than its other brand counterparts with Snapdragon 636. What it has over them is:
1. Protection (rated IP68)
2. Better screen (AMOLED)
(possibly) 3. The rear camera has higher pixel count although the actual performance remains to be seen
anti-eejit says:
i need to correct myself. Samsung initially mentioned during their early preview of these phones that A30 and A50 have IP68 rating but they seem to have removed that already from their recent marketing materials
anti-eejit says:
A50’s price is quite competive among the midrange segment
the only one true disruptor against it is Pocophone F1, similarly priced and has an actual flagship level SoC. if you’re a gamer, you’d love this although i’ve been hearing some inconsistent reports on touch display issues for the F1
A50’s advantage over F1:
IP68 rating
AMOLED screen
Triple cameras (on paper only, actual performance remain to be seen)
Paul says:
Whoever bought the even number J series and A7/A9 2018 must be feeling a huge deal of regret right now.
Shane says:
I do. The A50 even has the same price as the A7 i bought!
Jey says:
Available na kaya sya thru credit card? Kapag lumabas na? Hmmm
Jayr says:
Available ba ito sa taiwan?
remix says:
IP68 rated?
anti-eejit says:
initially it was mentioned during the phone’s preview and announcement but now they no longer mention the IP68 rating
JJ Lim says:
What is the advantage of these phones over the A7 and A9 2018 models?
Marcus says:
How much is A50 on 4gig ram?
Carl Lamiel says:
The official A50 variant launching in the Philippines is the 6GB/128GB model. No word if Samsung will carry the 4GB variant here given that we still have the A7 2018 in the market.
Bins says:
I have the same question, sana meron.
QUEENIE says:
Will this be available in limited time only ?
Mao says:
Just pre-ordered A50 in Cyberzone SM San Mateo, they will give freebies!
JBL Go 2, Tripod, 10,000 mAh Battery pack!
Ordered one from Techbox
PS.
They will also give another freebies from Techbox :D
Tony says:
Wala ip68 ang A50…pero sa isang post niyo meron nakalagay which is misleading to buyers. Paki correct.
