Samsung has just launched the Galaxy A54 5G, a successor to the A53 that released last March 2022. Alongside this, Samsung also released the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G.
Let’s jump right in and see the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and what’s new with Samsung’s latest device.
From the outside, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has matte reflective sides with a premium back glass panel and a glossy finish. Samsung removed the camera island that they used to have in their A53 models and replaced it with a similar camera design from the S23 series. The rear camera has an embossed design that is more elevated than the S23 series.
The phone is made with eco-friendly and recycled materials. You might get confused with the A54 and the S23 as the overall feel and design is similar to that of the S23, but the A54 is slightly thicker. Height and width wise, however, it is identical to that of the S23.
The Galaxy A54 has the same button placements to the S23, with the volume and power buttons on the right side of the phone and the speakers and ports are at the bottom. The SIM tray is now located at the top side of the phone. The fingerprint on display is on the screen is still in the same placement.
The display of the A54 is responsive and snappy with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The choice to switch to adaptive or standard resolution is available which lowers the refresh rate down to 60Hz.
The phone isn’t a fingerprint magnet, so don’t worry about that if you don’t put a case on the Galaxy A54 5G.
Powered by the Exynos 1380, there are two storage options: the 128GB and the 256GB. The phone has a 5000mAh battery capacity and has a 25W fast charging. It runs on the latest Android 13 and OneUI 5.1. Samsung has also stated that the Galaxy A54 5G comes with a 5-year security upgrade.
One notable feature to the Galaxy A54 5G is the ability to edit out unnecessary elements in pictures without downloading any third-party apps.
The device features a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP OIS main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The front camera is 32MP. It can shoot up to 2k@30fps.
Overall, Samsung has created a powerful device that has an ergonomic grip and is a bang for your buck. Prices start at PHP 24,990 for their 8GB+128GB variant and PHP 26,990 for their 8GB+256GB combo. The device is available in three colors — Lime, Violet, and Graphite.

6.4″ screen? (smaller than predecessor A53)
powerful device? (exynos garbage)
bang for your buck? (25k for a mediocre SOC)
this sounds like a sponsored content rather than an honest review.
there are lots of better phones that are cheaper than this. the more powerful A73 is a wiser choice at a similar price point.

there are lots of better phones that are cheaper than this. you’re even better off with the more powerful A73 at a similar price point.
