Alongside the Galaxy A36 5G, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A56 5G—the successor to last year’s Galaxy A55 5G 41.
It still boasts Samsung’s in-house chip, with the new Exynos 1580 SoC. Display-wise, all models in the 2025 Galaxy A-Series get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
Right off the bat, it comes with One UI 7 on top of Android 15, making it one of the first devices to receive the latest software—outpacing even the Galaxy S24 lineup, which is still stuck on One UI 6.
Speaking of software, Samsung is guaranteeing six major OS updates and six years of security patches for the Galaxy A56.
The brand is also integrating the so-called ‘Awesome Intelligence’ that includes Google’s Circle to Search, Best Face, and Object Eraser among others.

Art Garcia says:
what the heck is samsung smoking? with the a56 (and a36), it’s two steps foward, one step back. sure, there were a lot of improvents. but one thing that really pissed me off was the removal of the micro sd slot (which you forgot to mention). common sense must be rare at samsung nowadays.

So sad no sd card anymore, I think I’ll consider another option with sd card
