will the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge be released here officially thru Globe and/or Smart? or the grey market’s the best and only option for PH fans?
Hehe.. For samsung, no.
Its a gimmick if no one uses and enjoys that feature, otherwise, its an innovation.
I would get if the edge actually is incorporated to both sides as it is difficult for a left handed to fully utilize the functions of the edge.
A gimmick can be an innovation and innovations can be gimmicks.
Let me put it another way. A gimmick is usually a selling point that the producer of a product will highlight to increase interest. An innovation is usually a concept that has never been seen before or is explored to new ground breaking levels.
This curved edge display is just a gimmick.
Seriously, whatever happened to innovation?
A gimmick can be an innovation and innovations can be gimmicks.

Bibi has a point, gimmicks and innovation are almost the same, I guess the only difference would be if it would actually be a useful feature
look at the g.note, large screens were considered as a gimmick when phone were at 3-4in :p
