Samsung’s tougher version of its flagship called the Galaxy S8 Active is now official in the US, sporting a modern rugged look along with the Korean giant’s usual flagship features in tow and is made for the outdoors.
The Galaxy S8 Active ditches the infinity display seen on the flagship in exchange for military-grade materials in a thicker frame with metal sides and a polycarbonate material on the back, an Activity Zone feature where you get a quick access to outdoor tools such as barometer and flashlight, and a significantly larger 4000mAh battery capacity. All of these, while still retaining the 18.5:9 display aspect ratio and that awkward fingerprint scanner placement the phone is known for.
