After several months of investigations, Samsung executives will soon announce the cause of the Galaxy Note7 incidents in a press conference on January 23, 2017.
In a press conference that will be held (and live streamed online) in Seoul, South Korea, on January 23, 2017, at 10AM (KST), Samsung Electronics, as well as independent expert organizations who conducted their own investigations into various aspects of the Galaxy Note7 incidents, will share their findings. The company will also discuss new measures that the company has implemented in response to the incidents.
The Galaxy Note7 was announced back in August 2016 and is the most advanced smartphone Samsung has released to date. In September 2016, the company announced a worldwide recall and a replacement program due to incidents of the Note7 catching fire. And in October 2016, Samsung announced that it has stopped the sales of the device worldwide and ended its production.
