It’s not unheard of for Samsung to partner up with different brands for their product lines, they have had BTS and Star Wars collaborations for their products in the past, and the latest collaboration of Samsung for their flagship S23 Ultra smartphone is with BMW M to create the Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M edition that is heavily influenced by the iconic BMW M3 E30 model. This is more specifically a partnership with BMW Korea and SK telecom for South Korean clientele.
The smartphone has a special boot-up animation showcasing the iconic BMW M color trio and a special BMW M wallpaper. It also comes installed with a BMW Vantage app which is BMW’s lifestyle app that provides access to various BMW events. This is about all the changes it has inside the phone as far as tech is concerned and is still visually the same as the regular Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It comes in a special packaging mimicking the BMW M3 E30, and it includes a special phone case that showcases the latest BMW M4’s hood and kidney grille. There are also 6 emblems included which shows the different eras of badging of BMW motor vehicles and a special 50th anniversary BMW roundel M keychain that celebrates 50 years of BMW M, which can also be swapped with the other 6 badges it comes with. It also includes other trinkets such as a small air compressor, a sunglass holder, a red BMW M brake caliper, carbon coated exhaust tips, poster, and photobook. To top it all off, it also comes with an analog watch.
Should you be one of the lucky ones to purchase a unit, BMW will also throw in a BMW Driving Center ‘Starter Pack Voucher’ where a professional driving instructor can teach you driving tips, and dynamic driving skills to teach you how to become a better driver at the track.
Samsung will only produce 1000 units of the S23 Ultra BMW M Edition with orders already being taken in South Korea via SK telecom and is only offered with the 512GB version with 12GB of RAM. Since it is sold at its home country, it is priced at a much lower KRW 1,727,000 or PHP 74,475 which is much cheaper than our prices locally in which the same 512GB variant costs PHP 89,990.
