Samsung has just renewed its W series of smartphones with the Samsung W24 20 and W24 Flip 21 to follow in the footsteps of the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.
The most obvious change is that its frame now sees a gold finish giving it a more premium look. What’s more, is that both phones will have ceramic back panels that may be more scratch-resistant to the glass backs on the regular Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.
Underneath, both phones share the same specifications as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 with even the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 underneath.
Samsung has also included the S Pen with the Samsung W24 and exclusive animations and wallpapers on both phones. There’s also a small icon on the back of each device that translates to “Heart for the World”.
Samsung is currently launching both phones in China starting at CNY 9,999 (~PHP 78,000) for the W24 Flip model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage while the Samsung W24 is priced at CNY 15,999 (~PHP 125,000) with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
For reference, the Z Flip5 is priced at PHP 71,990 for its top-end 8GB+512GB model while the Z Fold5 is priced at PHP 119,990 for its 12GB+1TB model.
When you can’t still afford their ordinary flip and fold devices, samsung drops a more “premium” variants, you’ll just be like daaaannnggg
