It looks like mobile companies are already prepping up their phones that will feature 5 inch 1080p displays. Samsung won’t allow itself to be left behind as it is already reported that the company will showcase a full HD 1080p 5-inch Super AMOLED Display at CES 2013.
LG already has a 5 inch full HD LCD panel available, HTC is already expected to release the HTC Deluxe and Sony is rumored to produce a 5 inch 1080p phone as well, codenamed “Yuga“. On the other hand, Samsung is expected to showcase their version of the display at CES 2013.
The reports suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S IV might feature this display although Samsung refuses to comment regarding the matter. Anything more than 5 inches may render the Galaxy Note line useless, so maybe the Galaxy S IV will indeed feature a 5 inch display.
Along with the display, Samsung was also reported to be planning a brand reboot this upcoming CES 2013. It looks like we have a lot to look forward to this coming year.

May mga tao talagang gusto they have the latest and greatest when it comes to gadgets. If the manufacturers can deliver, why not? Variety has never been bad. More choices more fun.

Boga says:
Palagi nlang cores, displays etc, bka pwede prep up din nila battery?

Maybe sa 32″ na tv hindi mo ma notice ang difference ng 720P sa 1080P but when it comes to some applications at pagbasa ng letters makikita mo yung diff nya.
Benchmark says:
So? Duh! Ginagamit mo lang naman sa pantawag or pang SMS lang naman yan di ba, plus few gaming and surfing.
Like what other commenters here, mapapansin mo ba difference ng HD sa phone?
For me, I’d rather choose Motorola Maxx for it’s battery power…
TOINKS!
hehehehe nangungulit lang po…not sounding bitter, coz ako, I’d rather go to battery power. :)

I share the same sentiments as you Ramon.

Madali kasing manakaw. Di ako fan ng Apple pero natutuwa ako sa kanila na ang nilalabas nila ay 3.5″ and 4″ lang. inaalala din kasi nila kugn handy by yung mobile phone.
cris marcos says:
Samsung pa dagdag price lang yan kasi over sila mag presyo sa mga cellphones nila pero same lang ng other manufacturer sa performance ng android mobile device….
Ramon says:
Really? 2013 phones would fight over 1080p displays? =/
Ok, I understand that everyone wants better specs, but seriously… can we even notice the difference between 720p and 1080p in a 5″ screen?
I’m still skeptical when it comes to 1080p or 300+ dpi screens in phones or even phablets… personally, I’d rather have 720p for my phone than have a possibly unnoticeable 1080p at the cost of lower battery life
But that’s just my opinion :p
Jhoms says:
HTC Droid DNA diba 5″ with 1080P display?
irongeek says:
Hehehe
Phillip says:
i agree!
Reyn says:
imagine laptops today dont have FULL HD screens but they have 14inch++ screen sizes. phones have 5inches but they have fullhd
edgar says:
Pwede pa yan basta slim bezel. The same width with Galaxy s3.
sekai says:
I can’t wait for the day where we’ll be using 10 inch smartphones lol!
