We’ve just seen the Acer Liquid Jade S up close last month which is the successor to the Liquid Jade. A few days after that and the Taiwanese company ASUS unveiled its Pegasus X002. We saw some great resemblance in specs for both devices which prompted us to do a side-by-side specs comparison of the two and see how they both fare in paper.

CNY799 (approx. Php5,800) | Undisclosed, could be close to the SRP of Liquid Jade at Php14,990. |
Both are equal in:
- Screen size/resolution
- Pixel count
- GPU
- Internal storage
- 4G connectivity
- Android OS version
ASUS Pegasus X002 advantage:
- Battery capacity
- 5MP front camera
Acer Liquid Jade S advantage:
- Corning Gorilla Glass 3
- Octa-core processor
- 13MP rear camera
- Thinner/lighter form factor
Price:
The Pegasus X002 carries a price tag of CNY799 or approximately Php5,800 when directly converted. On the other hand, the Liquid Jade S still has no price as of this time; but just like what we’ve mentioned before, our guesstimate is somewhere around Php12,990. It still isn’t available here but do expect it to arrive during the first quarter of 2015.
This comparison just shows that ASUS is once again offering users beefy specs at an affordable asking price. Acer indeed has more edge in specs alone, but the approximated price gap between the two gives us an idea which has more bang-for-the-buck than the other.
Hi, why is it stated here that it is Quad core? But in some site it says Octa core, but there are also it says Quad Core.
Sites which say Octa Core:

Sites with Quad Core:

Pls shed some light.
Thanks.
Asus pa rin.. Asus pegasus looks premium than acer. For now, octa core is not really necessary kasi playable at smooth naman ang lahat ng android apps sa quad core. But iba na ang usapan pag lumabas na ang mga incoming phones this first quarter of year.
Mahal talaga mag presyo ang acer. So go ahead buy asus. Well dapat naman talaga magcompare based on price dahil budget-conscious naman talaga tayo. Eh comparison specs-wise ito so wala tayong magagawa kundi basahin. Bukas babaha na ng news about announcement of new products sa CES.
Bakit mo naman icocompare ang 7k sa 12k? #Duh
It says “specs comparison”…people read first, come on, I noticed that we Filipino commenters have started a bad habit of easily bashing online.
“We saw some great resemblance in specs for both devices which prompted us to do a side-by-side specs comparison of the two and see how they both fare in paper.”
boom supalpal basa basa din kasi or baka hindi naiintidihan hahaha
