With the local launch of Vivo V3 Max yesterday, its powerhouse specs reminded us of a smartphone touting similar internals — the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. For one, both have a beefy 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Here’s our quick specs comparison for those looking to buy a new midrange phone.
Vivo V3 Max advantages:
- CPU has more cores
- Larger memory expansion
- Higher megapixel count for front camera
- Fingerprint sensor
ASUS Zenfone 2 advantages:
- Corning Gorilla Glass display
- Cheaper by Php2,995
Both are equal in:
- Display size
- Display resolution
- Pixel density
- RAM
- Storage
- Megapixel count for rear cameras
- Dual-SIM
- Connectivity
- GPS
- Battery capacity
For a couple more thousand bucks, you can go for the new V3 Max and enjoy its fingerprint sensor and Hi-Fi chip for better audio. Although if you’re a bit tight on the budget, you can also opt for the trusted Zenfone 2 that almost has the same specs with a few tradeoffs.
but if you want to save more bucks, lenovo K4 note is hovering around. K4 note offers almost identical what Vivo V3 max could give, and sacrifice a bit when it comes to processing prowess but offers dual stereo speakers and dolby atmos surround sound for the price of 10k plus. The device has its own HiFi Audio Chip and comes with VR headset out of the box.
whats really ashamed with the unit is its SoC considering that its predecessor(K3 note) is way more powerfull compare to the new release K4 note, 1.7Ghz octa vs 1.3Ghz octa of K4 note.
Not really relevant, given that the Zenfone 3 will most likely launch in two weeks time. A comparison of those two will be more interesting…
A very low quality article. Spec for spec, even the pros and cons part could use a lot more work. Use of words is stupid. For a high profile tech site, please. You could do a lot better to keep your readers more informed. You could do better than this article, which even a grade-schooler could write. I know that you have reviewed the Zenfone extensively, and has a experience in a lot more phones, so please stop writing like someone who gives impressions based on specs. It’s as if you haven’t reviewed the zenfone.
