After countless rumors and leaks, LG has finally taken the wraps off its newest flagship called the G6 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
The G6 features a 5.7-inch QHD+ Fullvision display with an 18:9 (or 2:1, depending on how you look at it) aspect ratio — something unprecedented in the world of 16:9 smartphones. It’s also LG’s first flagship smartphone to feature water resistance right out of the box.
LG’s newest phone is also the first to support Dolby Vision entertainment content right out of the box, utilizing the new aspect ratio and its capabilities. The South Korean juggernaut also added key safety features such as an air gap and heat pipe to minimize risks related to overheating and multiperformance.
