This is the LG G7 ThinQ!

LG officially took the wraps off of its newest flagship device called the G7 ThinQ at a press conference in New York City. The naming follows the company’s standard in pushing AI with the inclusion of its own ThinQ Internet of Things ecosystem, which we saw first with the V30S ThinQ that was announced early this year.

The company devoted more time to develop better multimedia capabilities into the device, and have engineered a way to amplify and enhance audio. That is with the introduction of DTS:X, an audio technology mostly found in cinemas that enables delivery of virtual 3D sound for all content (up to 7.1 channel audio with earphones). There’s also Hi-Fi DAC, and a more audible loudspeaker with the Boombox Speaker, utilizing all of the phone’s internal space to amplify sound.

The G7 ThinQ also takes pride of its cameras — a dual-rear camera setup is set at the back, enabling the user to switch between a normal shot and a wide-angle shot, similar to the one in the G6. An eight-megapixel camera is also placed at the front for selfies and offers 19 AI-assisted modes for better photo capture. The cameras are also touted to offer four times brighter photos in low-light scenarios with its low-aperture lenses.

LG has also integrated Google Assistant so well in its new flagship that it has a set of features unique to the phone. It can detect Google Assistant commands up to five feet away thanks to a highly-sensitive microphone, and a dedicated button opens either Google Assistant or Google Lens depending on the number of times it has been pressed.
