This smartphone is water, dust, and explosion-proof

The Bartec Pixavi Impact X is probably the toughest smartphone that will soon be available. In addition to the usual water- and dust-proofing of phones, it boasts being imperishable to impact, drop, corrosion, and explosion. Yes, you read that right. It runs on an Android Jelly Bean OS and has dual rear cameras as part of its unique functionality.

The Norway-made Impact X also brings to the table its Flipscape technology that basically lets users shoot videos in landscape mode even if they hold the device upright thanks to its dual rear camera (8MP each). This “smartphone on steroids” still has no release date but is reported to sell around $1,000. The company gives a detailed rundown on the Impact X over at their website.

  1. Guys, you don’t understand what this mobile/camera for!
    This is 2-Joule force impact resistant device, 2-meter drop proof, IP-68 waterproof
    and most of all explosion protection under IECEx and ATEX Zone 1 regulations.
    The devices you, guys, mentioned can potentially cause major disaster in ATEX zone areas and that is the difference that this device boasts out for!
