When it comes to gaming, the HONOR 9X has a trick up its sleeves, the GPU Turbo 3.0. This feature pushes the capabilities of the Kirin 710F chipset to ensure a fast, responsive, full-frame gaming experience.
If you’re the type who likes watching videos on YouTube or Netflix, then you’re going to love the display on the HONOR 9X. It sports a 6.59-inch HONOR FullView Display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution or equal to 391ppi. It features an LTPS IPS panel so you’ll get vibrant and accurate colors and a nearly bezeless display with a 91% screen-to-body ratio. No notches, no distractions.
Want to take high-resolution photos, capture that pretty scenery, or shoot portraits with a blurred background? The HONOR 9X can handle that thanks to its AI Triple camera that consists of the 48MP F1.8 primary camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and AIS Super Night Mode, an 8MP Super Wide-Angle Camera with a 120-degree Field of View, and a 2MP Depth-Assist Camera. These lenses turn the HONOR 9X into a versatile shooter.
Earlier, we mentioned that the HONOR 9X has a good screen-to-body ratio without distracting notches. Well, that’s made possible thanks to the 16MP Pop-Up Selfie Camera, which hides the front camera system inside the body of the phone when not in use for a zero-distraction viewing experience.
Another thing worth noting about the HONOR 9X’s pop-up selfie camera is its durability. HONOR Philippines even demonstrated its toughness by opening a bottle cap with it, and it still worked fine afterward.
What’s the point of having all the said features if the battery can’t cope with heavy usage. Fortunately, the HONOR 9X has a large 4,000mAh battery that can provide up to 8 hours of gaming. Under PCMark’s battery test, the device yielded 11 hours and 55 minutes. On the other hand, in our video loop test – 50% brightness, 50% volume, airplane mode, 1080p movie – the 9X lasted 13 hours and 46 minutes. For charging, it uses a USB Type-C for convenience.
Powering the HONOR 9X is the HiSilicon Kirin 710F octa-core CPU, Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and a large 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. The configuration allows the HONOR 9X to keep up with most tasks, including gaming. Check out the benchmark scores we got:
And that sums it up. The HONOR 9X is priced at PHP 12,490USD 213INR 18,043EUR 203CNY 1,550 and will be available in all HONOR concept stores and kiosks nationwide starting December 7, 2019.
