Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Note 2 tomorrow evening and we’ve already reported last week that it’s going to be sold at Php32,990USD 562INR 47,657EUR 535CNY 4,094.
The Galaxy Note 2 looks pretty much like the Galaxy S3, only a bit bigger and wider. In fact, one can even think of it as something like the Galaxy S3 XL (we just made that name up) because of the 5.5-inch display.
We did a quick unboxing video of the Galaxy Note 2 yesterday and uploaded the clip to YouTube. Check it out below:
The Galaxy Note 2 will be Samsung’s flagship device once it is locally launched tomorrow. The version that will be released is just the HSPA+ model with the LTE version coming out later (my previous discussion with Globe reps is that they will carry it later under an LTE Plan).

Is it as buttery smooth as iOS?

I just got mine from Globe yesterday, and, truth be told, it does run like butter! Smooth transitioning and animations — the 2GB of RAM does fit well with the quad-core brain it has. Love the native browser… downloads stuff relatively quickly using an HSPA connection..

Will the 64gb variant of this phone ever be released in the Philippines? Or even the 32gb one?
I’m only seeing the 16gb variant. :(

Most if not all GN2 available for sale before the actual Philippine launch date are mostly from the Middle East. I think they were the first one to have it. There is also no local Samsung official 1yr warranty but only in-house warranty from shop purchased, which is usually 6 months only. Please be informed.

Galaxy Note 2 64GB is only available in South Korea. International release models are only available in 16GB and 32GB. It is again subject to Samsung whether or not they will release a 64GB model in the near future.
