vivo V50 5G launched, priced in the Philippines

The vivo V50 has been launched and priced in the Philippines. It features 3D Star technology, allowing the phone’s back panel to change color based on its surroundings.

At the front, it sports a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has 4,500 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Diamond Shield glass.

Powering this device is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It also packs a large 6,000mAh battery with 90W of fast charging support via USB Type-C.

Despite its massive battery, it’s very thin and measures at just 7.39mm. It also has an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

For optics, the V50 was made in collaboration with ZEISS yet again. The phone has a 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera fitted with a 1.55-inch Omnivision OV50E sensor.

This is paired with a 50-megapixel ultra wide with a Samsung JN1 sensor and vivo’s Aura Light flash. It’s also equipped with a 50-megapixel selfie shooter that uses a JN1 sensor as well.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS. It’s slated to ship with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. Other features include its stereo speakers and in-display fingerprint sensor.

The vivo V50 5G is priced at PHP 27,999USD 479INR 41,523EUR 461CNY 3,491 with 12GB/256GB. It’s also available for PHP 30,999USD 530INR 45,972EUR 511CNY 3,866 with 512GB of storage instead.

Color options include Ancora Red, Blue, and Titanium Gray. Users may find it at vivo’s physical and online stores.
