Want a Nokia N79 Ferrari TV Phone?

Of course it’s a knock-off but the sales ladies will tell you this upfront — “Sir, it’s a China phone”. I replied back “But the real Nokia phones are also made in China!”. Just take a look at this fake Ferrari-inspired Nokia N79++ TV.

For only Php4,800USD 82INR 6,934EUR 78CNY 596 (and you can still haggle), you get a dual-SIM phone with TV tuner and etched with a Ferrari logo. It doesn’t even look close to the original Nokia N79 — that’s probably because this knock-off was made way before Nokia even announced the model.

But why do people keep on buying these knock-offs? Well, first it’s dirt cheap and then it offers kick-ass features Nokia doesn’t do — an over-the-air TV tuner and dual-SIM. The saying that nobody will sell them if nobody will buy still holds true.

  1. Pretty disappointed with Nokia’s later model that omitted FM Radio functionality when their earlier models were capable. With the resurgence of Chinaphones which offer better features like TV-Tuner, FM, Dual-Sim, Touchscreen picking a Nokia is less feasable. If quality is of concern then Samsung, LG, or even Apple has better offerings. Even MyPhones are looking pretty good as well.

  2. Ang galing talaga ng China. Parang lahat na lang pwede nilang gawin.

Gusto ko na nga ata talaga maniwala dun sa nabasa ko dati.

God created the planets, nature, animals and humans. Then China created everything else. hahaha!

  3. I’ve seen that Ferrari brand everywhere: children’s toys, cellphones, dvd players, shoes, sunglasses, and even coloring books.

But there’s this one thing I’d really like to buy: an Acer Ferrari laptop.

  4. Nokia is sooooo yestetday! Yun lang masasabi ko

  5. Magaling talaga ang china. pero hindi po matibay. bihira lang ung sulit tlga, madalas sira kagad.

RISK… yan ang kailangan mo harapin sa pagbili ng china phone

  6. sir yuga more netbook review please! xD

  7. wow… ganda naman,…. china talaga… heheheh

  8. For a phone that carries the Ferrari logo, it’s quite cheap. :P

  9. kuya abe! have a review na on smart unlimited prepaid BIS :D

  10. china phone is great with some cool features that branded phones that does not have:

    dual sim
    fm radio
    tv phone
pregnancy rate computation (my favorite! ehehe!)
    obesity checker
    etc…

the only thing that china phone does not have is a Phone Browser, GPRS and WiFi but of course… im sure that your balls will be fried after prolong use! wahaha!

consumer wise… ill buy this phone coz its darn cheap… dont question about its durability kasi every 6 months nagpapalit ka naman ng unit.

  11. troyski, panalo to:

“God created the planets, nature, animals and humans. Then China created everything else. hahaha!” LOL!

  12. A year ago i bought a china phone mainly because of the TV feature and dual sim …up to now the tv is still good picks up good tv signal BUT the SIM …well i can send text yes, but the fone do no longer recieve incoming text ,, at 1st i thought why was everybody ignoring my text then i realized they replied pala several time with the fone recieving no text at all after only 4 months of use i experimented with my old nokia nagtext ako sa tv fone…wala talaga …but i can still make a call anyway

now i still bring it along with me so that when im on the road and pag traffic i can watch 24 oras or any other news program..even my favorite Marians Rivera Darna napapanod ko habang traffic or kung nasa daan ako…yun na lang ang silbi nya

  13. China just materialized America’s product architecture design, and immitated it.

  14. btw spotted a chinaphone with wifi capabilities in 168 divisoria priced at 6,500 pesos. Was nearly an iPhone knockoff

  15. @IC DeaDPiPoL

  16. I bought a chinaphone for my sister 2 years ago, shes still using the phone i guess depende p din s gumagamit.

  18. I would prefer buying a CHery Mobile phone. It has better features than MyPhone.

  19. Cute pa ang cherry mobile. mas ok un. by the way is it china phone??

  20. I am using Cherry phone M35: features 2g microSD, on air tv, fm radio, dual sim, bluetooth, comes with a 1-year warranty. It has motion sensor, the tv screen orientation changes to widescreen when you turn the celfon on its side. I use the motion sensor to fastforward the songs playing in the audio player – that is by flicking the phone, MP3 being played fastforwards to the next song in the list. Unlike in branded celfons, TV , FM radio or audio player will run even without plugging in the earphone jack because it has a built in external speaker.

  21. San makakabili ng cherry mobile? Un official retailer talaga?…
