WhatsApp will no longer support BlackBerry OS and Windows Phone 8.0 after December 31

If you’re a BlackBerry OS or Windows Phone 8.0 user and is currently using the WhatsApp app, then it’s about to time to say goodbye to the said messaging app.

Apart from the aforementioned platforms, WhatsApp will also cease support for the following devices:

  • Android versions older than 2.3.3
  • Windows Phone 7
  • iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
  • Nokia Symbian S60

You may still continue to use WhatsApp on BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10, as well as Windows 8.0 and older, until December 31, 2017. Nokia S40 until December 31, 2018 and Android versions 2.3.7 and older until February 1, 2020.

Do note that some features may stop functioning at any time as these devices will no longer be supported.
