Looks like Xiaomi is beefing up its 12 series of smartphones as reports point to the impending release of the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G model.
A render from xiaomiui.net shows the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G to be bigger than the Xiaomi 12. Yogesh Brar took to Twitter to share what we can expect from the device. He states that it will come with a 6.55 inch FHD+ AMOLED display and have an improve 120 Hz refresh rate compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. It is also rumored to come with a slightly larger battery at 4,500 mAh and 67W fast charging. The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is said to be running on Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Other than that, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is practically similar to the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. With the same Snapdragon 778G chipset, 6/8GB of RAM, and 128/256GB of Storage. As well it would boast the same rear-facing cameras consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro. However, what’s strange is that it may come with a slightly lower quality 16MP front-facing camera as to the 20MP front-facing camera on the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE and the 32MP sensor on the Xiaomi 12X
Since these are just rumors, please take them with a grain of salt. We’ll keep you posted as more solid info comes out.
