Xiaomi Mi 5s announced with Snapdragon 821, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor

Xiaomi has just announced their newest flagship and what’s more familiar than labeling it with an “s” monicker.

The Xiaomi Mi 5s is the Chinese company’s successor to Mi 5 that was just released earlier this year. The Mi 5s sports a 5.15″ 1080p display complete with pressure sensitivity, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that’s claimed to be better than most scanners on other phones. There’s also 4G+, NFC, and a speedy UFS 2.0 ROM inside.

The handset is set to be sold for CNY 1999PHP 16,114USD 275INR 23,274EUR 261 (~Php14,500USD 247INR 20,947EUR 235CNY 1,799) for 64GB storage and CNY 2299PHP 18,532USD 316INR 26,767EUR 301 (~Php16,600USD 283INR 23,980EUR 269CNY 2,060) for 128GB. Sale starts on September 29.
