Xiaomi Redmi 6, 6A now official in the Philippines

A month after Xiaomi China unveiled their newest budget smartphones, the company has officially launched the Redmi 6 and 6A in the Philippines.

The Redmi 6 comes with a 5.45-inch 18:9 IPS display with 1440 x 720 resolution, a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, 5MP front camera, and 3,000mAh battery. The Redmi 6A, on the other hand, sports a lower configuration with the same display, but with a Helio A22 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear, 5MP front, and 3,000mAh battery.

The Redmi 6 is priced at Php7,490USD 128INR 10,820EUR 122CNY 930 (3GB + 32GB) and Php8,990USD 153INR 12,987EUR 146CNY 1,116 (4GB + 64GB), while the Redmi 6A is priced at Php5,290USD 90INR 7,642EUR 86CNY 656 (2GB + 16GB) and Php5,990USD 102INR 8,653EUR 97CNY 743 (2GB + 32GB).

There will also be a flash sale at Lazada for the Redmi 6 on July 23, with the 3GB + 32GB model selling for Php6,990USD 119INR 10,098EUR 113CNY 867, while the 4GB + 64GB model selling for Php8,490USD 145INR 12,265EUR 138CNY 1,054. The Redmi 6A, on the other hand, will also be on flash sale on July 23 at Shopee with the 2GB + 32GB selling for Php4,990USD 85INR 7,209EUR 81CNY 619.
