The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is one of the hottest smartphones right now, thanks to its large AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, capable chipset, hi-res triple-rear cameras, and 120W fast charging. All of that for a starting budget of almost PHP 22K. But there’s another Xiaomi smartphone in the market that can compete with it for the price, and that is the Xiaomi 11T. Which one to get? Find out below.

The two are pretty much the same when it comes to displays. Both have 6.67-inch screen sizes with FHD+ resolution which equates to a sharp 395ppi, AMOLED panels for deep blacks and punchy colors, and 120Hz refresh rates for buttery smooth visuals.
They differ, however, on touch sampling rates as the 11T has a higher 480Hz which is beneficial if you’re a mobile gamer. The higher the touch sampling rate, the faster it is to register touches. The 11T also has a newer glass protection in the form of the Gorilla Glass Victus which can survive a 6.5-foot drop, compared to the Gorilla Glass 5 which could do 3.9 feet.
The 11T takes the cake on this one for sporting a more powerful Dimensity 1200-Ultra 5G. To give you an idea of the difference in their raw performance, the 11T got a score of 578,884 in AnTuTu, while the note 11 Pro+ got 377,534.
Both devices offer up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. However, the 11T has a faster UFS 3.1 storage type. In our review, it got 1,684.0 MB/s and 938.6 MB/s Read-Write speeds, while the Note 11 Pro+ got 980.8 MB/s and 800.1 MB/s.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+, however, has the advantage in terms of memory expansion as it can support microSD cards using the SIM 2 slot.
The two almost have the same camera configuration. 108MP for the main shooter and 8MP for the ultra-wide. However, the 11T has a 5MP telemacro, which is better than the 2MP macro on the Note 11 Pro+.
For selfies, they both have 16MP cameras.
The two devices pretty much have the basic connectivity features and then some. They have dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB-C, stereo speakers, IR blasters, side-mounted fingerprint scanners, and IP53 dust and water resistance.
However, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who don’t like using a USB-C adapter when connecting their favorite wired headphones.
In terms of capacity, the 11T wins for having a 5,000mAh battery, which is 500mAh more than the one on the Note 11 Pro+. However, the latter has a significantly more powerful charging rate at 120W, compared to the 67W on the former.
Let’s lineup the configurations of the two phones and arrange them by price:
• Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (8GB + 128GB) – PHP 19,999
• Xiaomi 11T (8GB + 128GB) – PHP 21,990
• Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (8GB + 256GB) – PHP 21,999
• Xiaomi 11T (8GB + 256GB) – PHP 24,990
If your budget is PHP 22K, you have two options:
Option 1) Go for the 11T and get a higher touch sampling rate, Gorilla Glass Victus, more powerful chipset, UFS 3.1 for storage, higher resolution telemacro, and bigger battery.
Option 2) Not minding the PHP 9.00 difference, you can go for the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and get double the storage, microSD card support, 3.5mm audio jack, and faster charging.
It really depends on your needs. But in our case, we’d like to get more chipset power for the price (sacrificing storage), so option 1 is looking good in our books.
