On Mad Crowd Media

Some of my fellow bloggers might already know about Mad Crowd Media (MCM) and may have even wrote a piece or two about this new local Ad Network for bloggers and webmasters alike.

Mad Crowd Media Met with Happy and Connie last month to talk more about this new ad network which he founded with Jessica Zafra. TThough it took me several weeks to finally decide. The idea in itself was great and is something I’ve been mulling over with other bloggers/partners for some time now as well. Happy and the MCM gang just finally put it up and running and I’m confident they can make this work.

In essence, MCM is like Federated Media Publishing in the US which handles huge sites like Digg, GigaOM, Boing boing, Mashable, TechCrunch and Ars Technica only that Mad Crowd Media will handle a sizable portion of Philippine New Media Publishers.

To this date, I’ve signed up this blog as well as Pinoy Tech Blog, the Pinoy Travel Blog and Motorcycle Philippines.

Yup, that would mean more ads. But don’t worry, the RSS and email subscriptions will remain optimally sanitized for your full reading pleasure.

Terrific post but I was wanting to know if you could write a
litte more on this topic? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more. Kudos!

Somebody essentially help to make significantly posts I’d state. This is the first time I frequented your website page and thus far? I amazed with the research you made to make this actual put up amazing. Wonderful job!

  3. Benito says:

    Hi, Abe,

Thanks for this post. If I may address everyone reading this as one here…

The last few days — a week where we have been talking to advertisers, advertising agencies and media agencies (at their request) — has shown us, in actual advertising pesos, the real potential of Mad Crowd Media. And I believe it is worthy of your signatures.

To date, we are engaged in a handful of rather sizable campaigns (one of which contacted us through our website). We are delivering not just banner ad inventory, but negotiating on content deals, editorial work, syndication, and customized advertising units. Whether or not any one of these pan out, it clearly suggests to me that the market is out there.

What I do know is that we cannot do this without your full participation. I have spoken personally to a few of you, including some of the commenters above, and have indicated in the firmest words possible that we are after long-term value every step of the way.

Advertisers are looking to deliver quality impressions — and value to their brand — on the best independent publications online. If we contacted you, we believe we can put you and them together.

    Best,

    Benito

  5. SELaplana says:

i am still reviewing the contract. I don’t know when will I sign this…. maybe I need some encouragement from others who already signed the contract.

  6. Andrew says:

    Ho-hum, same here.

  7. Jaypee says:

So you finally signed up with them huh? Like Noemi, I’ve had the contract lying around and still haven’t sent it back to them. I’ll probably send it within this week. :)

  8. BrianB says:

Useless. Maybe Jessica Zafra can get the Ayalas to advertise, but who else?

  9. noemi says:

I’ve signed my contracts but have been really lazy to submit them. I don’t know but I am having doubts about it. Maybe that’s why I have been lazy.
