Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) has recently announced the arrival of its latest motorcycle offering in the country, the new PCX160.
The new PCX160 is powered by its new 4-Stroke, 157cc, 4-Valve, Liquid- Cooled, Single Overhead Cam (SOHC), Enhanced Smart Power+ (ESP+) engine, providing a powerful combination of power and performance with an 11.8kW@ 8,500rpm and 45.1 Km/L Fuel Consumption.
According to Honda, the motorcycle comes with advanced and exciting features, such as its new LED head and taillights design, a hazard lamp, wider tubeless tires, twin shock rear suspension, and a sporty full digital meter panel.
The Honda PCX160 is tailored with an idling stop system (ISS) to avoid wasteful fuel consumption. It also has an upgraded and secured front pocket sufficient to keep a 1.7-liter bottle as well as other features, including a USB-type power outlet for gadget charging, a smart key with an anti-theft alarm, and an answer-back system for better motorcycle security. In addition, its 30-liter utility box gives riders bigger storage space, while its 8-liter fuel tank capacity provides improved fuel efficiency, according to Honda.
Additionally, the PCX160 has two brake variations—the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) type and the Combi-Brake System (CBS) type. Both variants are also equipped with front and rear disc brakes. The ABS variant comes with a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), guaranteeing smooth stops even during sudden brakes and added wheel traction in slippery road conditions. Moreover, this has two premium color variants: the Asteroid Black Metallic and the Pearl Fadeless White, with an introductory price of PHP 133,900. On the other hand, the CBS variant combines its front and rear brakes and comes in two premium color variants: Matte Dim Gray Metallic and the Pearl Fadeless White at an introductory price of PHP 115,900.
