Samsung Electronics has announced the availability of its expanded 2021 Odyssey monitor lineup across the global markets.
The latest additions to Samsung’s Odyssey gaming monitor lineup include Odyssey G7 28-inch (Model: G70A), Odyssey G5 27-inch, (Model: G50A), and Odyssey G3 27-inch and 24-inch (Model: G30A).
The brand now offers a variety of Odyssey monitors in flat-screen design, ranging from 24 to 28 inches. Samsung claims that the new lineup delivers hyper-real picture quality, a higher response level, tailored ergonomics, and intuitive usability.
The Odyssey G7 features an Ultra High Definition (UHD) panel with a wide 178-degree viewing angle, along with HDR400. The monitor is equipped with a 4K industry-leading 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 1ms2 response time, combined with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It also comes with HDMI 2.1 compatibility with 4K 120Hz support.
On the other hand, the Odyssey G5 is the first Odyssey that features a Quad High Definition (QHD) panel with a 165Hz refresh rate delivering a 1ms3 response time as well as HDR10. It comes with G-SYNC Compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium. What’s more, with a height-adjustable stand, players can tilt, swivel and pivot their monitor.
However, the Odyssey G3 is available in two size options: 27-inch and 24-inch. It sports a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms4 (MPRT) response time, and an AMD FreeSync Premium. In addition, the G3 also features a height-adjustable stand.
According to Samsung, the G70A and G50A Odyssey gaming monitors also include intuitive multitasking features. Each monitor features multiple screen management tools for multitasking.
Users may watch and chat all at the same time with Picture-by-Picture (PBP) or create a virtual second screen with Picture-in-Picture (PIP) with flexible customization. Meanwhile, with Easy Setting Box, players can also manage multiple screens on one monitor with fully optimized window allocations for better multitasking. Additionally, with Auto Source Switch+, players can get to their content faster without flipping through multiple inputs.
