Apple could finally be working on higher refresh rate screens for its tablets and desktop monitors. In particular, a 90Hz display tech is in development that could soon grace the iPad Air, 24-inch iMac, and Studio Display.
As first reported by 9to5Mac, the 90Hz display is expected to debut on the upcoming M3 iPad Air, offering smoother navigation.
This technology could then trickle down to the 24-inch iMac and Studio Display, breathing new life into these popular Apple products.
Previously, there was also a report of the iPhone 17 base models could finally sport 120Hz screens. With that significant transition, it just makes sense for Apple to upgrade its other products aside from the iPhone.
The next-gen iPad Air sporting higher refresh screen is slated for an early 2025 release. However, there’s no concrete timeline for the 24-inch iMac and Studio Display upgrades.
Given the recent refresh of the 24-inch iMac, a substantial update won’t likely happen until late 2025 at the earliest.
