Earlier at the IFA in Berlin, Acer launched the Chromebook 15, a 15.6-inch Chromebook with upward-facing speakers.
Acer’s new Chromebook 15 has some changes over its previous models. It has a 15.6” Full HD IPS display with wide-viewing angles. Processor options are either a dual-core Intel Celeron or a quad-core Intel Pentium, you can get up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of eMMC storage. The device has two upward-facing speakers that feature high-definition audio.
There will be two variants of this model: a touch-screen and non-touch configuration. The laptop has an aluminum design and boasts a battery life up to 12 hours. The Chromebook 15 will support Android applications via Google Play Store.

The Acer Chromebook 15 is priced at €499 (~Php30547.89) in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and $399 (~Php20489.8) in North America. The laptop will be available this October.

According to Acer Philippines, Acer Chromebook 15 is only available for commercial sale – bulk orders from corporations or schools – but not for individual consumers.
When is Acer or any manufacturer going to make chromebooks available for retail in the Philippines?
