Airbnb launches the What’s My Place Worth tool; a new resource rolled out by Airbnb that lets prospective Hosts calculate their potential monthly income. The interactive tool computes the estimated income through inputs for geography, type of listing and space, and factors in prior Airbnb booking data in the area.
The company acknowledges that sharing homes on Airbnb has provided a “COVID social safety net” to many, helping them to stay economically afloat during these times.
According to Airbnb, in Baguio City, Hosts may earn up to PHP 11,491 per month, which the company recognizes as an important supplemental revenue for prospective Hosts.
For those considering hosting, a survey entitled Meaningful Travel Trends commissioned by Airbnb indicated that Filipinos are ready to reconnect with their families as soon as travel restrictions ease. There is also a high demand for travel as people yearn to get out of the house after months of home isolation.
