AMD has just announced the third generation AMD Ryzen CPUs at Computex 2019, currently held in Taiwan. Included in the lineup are the Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 7 3800X, and the Ryzen 9 3900X.
All three of the AMD 3rd gen chips will feature “Zen 2” architecture and supported by PCIe 4.0 PC. Both the Ryzen 7 models are 8-core chips, while the Ryzen 9 is a 12-core/24 thread chip. During the keynote, AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su demonstrated how the 3rd Gen Ryzen performed versus its competitors:
- Ryzen 7 3700X vs. i7-9700K with real-time rendering: The Ryzen 7 3700X offered 1% more single-threaded, and 30% more in multi-threaded performance.
- Ryzen 7 3800X vs. i9-9900K with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds gameplay: The Ryzen 7 3800X matched the performance of the i9-9900K.
- Ryzen 9 3900X vs. i9-9920X with Blender Render: The Ryzen 9 3900X beat the Intel i9 9920X by more than 16%.

The Ryzen 9 3900X is priced at USD 499 (~26,053), while the Ryzen 7 3800X is tagged USD 399 (~PHP 20,831), and last but not least, the Ryzen 7 3700X retails for USD 329 (~PHP 17,177). All three are expected to be available by July 7, 2019.
