AMD widens its offering by introducing the AMD Radeon RX 6000M and RX 6000S Series mobile graphics family for laptops, and the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 graphics cards for desktop use.
All the latest Radeon graphics solutions will be equipped with the AMD RDNA 2 gaming architecture and will be able to offer high-bandwidth, low-latency AMD Infinity Cache memory technology along with high-speed GDDR6 memory. All this plus the support for Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft DirectX 12 ultimate, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) upscaling technology, and other features that provide a more immersive experience for gamers.
The AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card is built on a 6nm chip providing better power efficiency and promising to deliver up to 35 percent faster gaming performance on average 1080p resolution gaming with high settings.
Alongside the release of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series, AMD also releases a new set of mobile GPU lineups under the RX 6000M and RX 6000s lines. At the top of the AMD Radeon RX 6000M series is the latest RX 6850M XT to bring 1440p gaming performance to next-gen laptops. AMD claims that this brings 7 percent faster gaming performance compared to the previous top-of-the-line AMD Radeon RX 6800M mobile GPU.
With the addition of new technology, AMD introduces AMD Advantage and AMD Smart Technologies. Some of these include AMD Smart Access Memory Technology (SAM), AMD SmartShift MAX Technology, AMD SmartShift Eco Technology, and AMD Smart Access Graphics Technology. The introduction of these improved technologies is expected to deliver 15 percent more gaming performance on average across several titles by allowing the GPU to control the shift of power to and from the GPU and processor, as well as allowing the GPU to control the display directly vs transferring info through the AMD Ryzen APU to the display
So far, no price has been revealed so stay tuned for more info on the latest AMD offerings.
