Anonymous wasn’t too happy about the recent job layoffs and closing of handful of office done by Zynga. As a protest, the group formulated #OP MaZynga which is believed to be a series of planned attacks towards the gaming company.
The attack is said to involve releasing some of Zynga’s confidential documents to the public which includes the company’s plan of outsourcing jobs to India. In addition, the group has managed to hack in to San Francisco based company’s servers and plans to release the games they’ve got for free. Here’s a short clip that depicts the group’s dismay towards Zynga.
It’s becoming clear that people nowadays resort to this kind of strategy to express their sentiments and take actions about something they stand for. We’ve seen this happen in the local scene quite recently, although we’re not sure if it’s the hacking that led to the TRO of the RA 10175 or the petitions filed by our fellow countrymen or the combination of both. Nevertheless, they got what they’ve hoped for which is what matters the most at the end of the day.
Nobody’s certain how this will play out for the group and their protest. One thing’s for sure though, one party has to give in and hopefully when one does, it’s for the benefit of the many. As for the act itself, will leave that for you to decide whether it’s the right thing to do or it’ll just make things worse.

Don’t really see the point of Zynga having a shitload of employees anyway. Flawed system – free-to-play relying mostly on ad revenue and in-game purchases -> mediocre-yet-incomplete gaming experience. There’s a reason why most of their games are referred to as “time-wasters.”
Should never have gotten off the ground in the first place. Remember the time when gamign companies had a dozen guys and produced quality games with awesome stories?
HardcoreGamer says:
Zynga deserves this because they’re notoriously known for making lots of rif-off, copycat low quality games.

zynga deserves this because they’re only concern is how to make money. they dont even solve the problems in stealing chips, hacking of fb accts and more.
