Apple has designed a new app to make visual collaboration on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac much easier with the new Freeform app.
Freeform features an infinite canvas that expands as content is added to the board. Users can also move around freely around the board with built-in gestures.
The app also offers a range of brush styles and colors to sketch ideas, add comments, or even draw diagrams with either their finger or the Apple Pencil.
Freeform also supports many file types for photos, videos, audio, documents, PDFs, and links.
Users can also attach scanned documents and have access to over 700 options of shapes.
It’s also made easy for users being able to drag and drop content from other apps and utilize Quick Look to preview content.
Annotation is also made simple by locking an image or PDF into place.
Freeform also has the ability to work with up to 100 collaborators on the same board.
Users can simply invite others through Messages, during a FaceTime call, a link, or email.
Users can even export their board as a PDF or take a screenshot to save their work locally. However, Freeform can also integrate with iCloud to stay in sync across devices.
Freeform is now available and comes free on every iPhone, iPad, and Mac that supports either iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, or macOS Ventura 13.1.
